Purposed Hope Foundation, a newly established non-profit organization, is on a mission to transform the lives of mothers and children in vulnerable communities across Uganda. Founded on January 12, 2024, by Dr. Recheal Arinaitwe and Kalaki Brian, the foundation aims to provide essential resources, support, and hope for a brighter future.
Dr. Recheal Arinaitwe, a seasoned medical doctor and surgeon, has worked in renowned hospitals across the globe, including Kampala International Hospital, Mulago Regional Referral Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre (Massachusetts), Stanford Hospital (California), and Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center. She currently serves at Oxfam Kenya. Kalaki Brian, an independent journalist and blogger for brianselfwork.com, has reported on the struggles faced by mothers and children in vulnerable communities, shedding light on heartbreaking stories of mothers dying during childbirth and children forced into labor instead of attending school.
The foundation’s mission is to provide a firm foundation of hope for a better future for mothers and their children in vulnerable communities by giving them access to better healthcare, food, clean water, developmental projects, and quality education. Their vision is to create joy in hearts and see smiles on previously sad faces of mothers and children in vulnerable communities.
Purposed Hope Foundation focuses on several critical areas, including:
