Who we are
Projects
Building schools.
In several vulnerable communities in Uganda, children have no access to schools. Because of this, many never go to school at all. Those who do, enroll at all manage when they can be able to walk long distances to the nearest schools. In other areas, schools have no classrooms and teachers to accommodate the many children they receive. Purposed Hope Founda.on builds schools in communities which are easily accessible and convenient for children to study.
Borehole construction & clean water projects.
Access to clean water is a big problem to many communities in urban and rural areas in Uganda. For this, typhoid, cholera, cough, among other diseases are common in these vulnerable communities. Sadly, people in these communities get water from heavily polluted wells, and dams which they also share with animals. We aspire to construct boreholes in many of these communities and also sensitize residents on modern clean water harvesiting methods.
Toilets and Pit latrines construction
One major cause of cholera in vulnerable communities is mismanagement and poor disposal of human waste. We construct public toilets and pit latrines in various communities. We also construct toilets for poor families in these vulnerable communities.
Food relief distribution
Many families in vulnerable communities in Uganda survive on one meal a day. Some of them struggle to access that one meal. It has become usual in some communities for a person to die of hunger. Purposed Hope Foundation, in periods of famine, provides food relief to these communities.
Affordable healthcare
Access to basic healthcare services is a struggle in vulnerable communities. Purposed Hope foundation stands on the frontline to give mothers and children access to better healthcare by providing sanitary pads, medicine and medical equipment to health centers in these communities.
Educational support.
Besides construc.ng schools, we also provides support to children in schools to enable them study. Books, shoes, uniforms, food and salaries for teachers are among the many requirements children in schools of vulnerable communities’ lack to access quality education
Counselling and therapy
Gender based violence is a norm in vulnerable communities. Many of residents in these communities have not advanced their minds past the old traditions and culture of marginalizing women. Because of this, many women are psychologically tortured and live with unhealed traumas that have hindered them to live a better life. we provide free therapy and counselling to victims of rape, physical and psychological abuse in vulnerable communities.
Economic empowerment projects
Purposed Hope Foundation believes that when you economically empower a mother, you empower her children as well. Through skilling and providing start up capital, we enable mothers create a source of income for their families.
