Director's Profile

Kalaki Brian is a passionate advocate for social justice and the co-founder of Purposed Hope Foundation. His journey as an independent journalist has taken him to the heart of vulnerable communities, where he has witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by mothers and children.

Through his work, Brian has given a voice to the voiceless, shedding light on the harsh realities of poverty, lack of access to healthcare, and limited educational opportunities. His commitment to making a difference led him to team up with Dr. Recheal Arinaitwe, a medical doctor and surgeon, to establish Purposed Hope Foundation in January 2024. Dr Recheal Arinaitwe, a University of Stanford Masters in Surgery graduate, has worked with many hospitals across the united states and Uganda. among them is Mulago Hospital (Uganda), Kampala International Hospital (Uganda), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre (Massachusetts, USA), Stanford Hospital (USA), and Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Centre (USA).

As the co-founder and director, Brian brings a wealth of experience in storytelling and community engagement. He believes that by sharing the stories of those in need, he can inspire others to join the cause and make a lasting impact. Through his leadership, Purposed Hope Foundation aims to create a brighter future for mothers and children in vulnerable communities across Uganda.
Brian and Dr Racheal’s dedication to the foundation stems from their own upbringing in a vulnerable community. The two understand the challenges of growing up without access to essential resources and the importance of providing hope and support to those in need. By leveraging Brian’s skills in journalism and advocacy, he continues to drive the foundation’s mission forward, working tirelessly to create positive change.

Under Dr Racheal and Brian’s guidance, Purposed Hope Foundation has embarked on various initiatives, including building schools, constructing boreholes for clean water, distributing food relief during times of famine, and offering economic empowerment programs for mothers. His vision is to see joy and smiles on the faces of those who have long endured hardship, and he remains committed to making this vision a reality.
